Description: This position supports the NSG SI Deployment team by providing test support for NGA software and hardware upgrades/modifications to operational sites. This position includes planning and conducting system functionality and performance testing capabilities to DoDIIS certification standards, consistent with the NGA Test and Evaluation Master Plan. The test planning includes testing at the Integrated Test Facility (INFORMAL TEST ONLY) and planning and test execution at operational sites. The test engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

• Review systems functionality and assist with development of test approach/concepts.
• Review requirements (as applicable) and develop test approach/concepts for various informal test activities
• Review verification plans, procedures, and tests developed conducted by the NGA/NTO.
• Coordinate the scheduling of NGA systems tests at the ITF and operational sites.
• Execution of IC&T and system acceptance tests at customer sites.
• Monitor DoDIIS policies testing and segment approval status
• Assess test results to ensure defined requirements are satisfied
• Assist in the development of site test plans and procedures.
• Assist customer sites with development of test plans and procedures.

• Support the segment/program/projects informal test such as EITs and IT conducted at the ITF and other locations as applicable.
• Assist the segment/program/projects informal test such as IV&V at the ITF and perform the Beta II at the operational sites.
• Support other required NGA/A test activities, as directed the Deployment team Lead.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 9+ years in System Engineering or related technical field.
• Bachelors Degree System Engineering or related technical field.
• Experienced in all phases of system test, preferably in a government environment
• Able to work as part of a team to review/refine/execute the test approach
• Experience with large system test planning or execution
• Experience in writing test plans and procedures
• Ability to act independently
• Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation
• Excellent customer relation skills
• Ability to work in a government environment as part of a multi-contractor team
• Willing to travel to operational sites at least 25% of the time
• Current TS/SCI clearance

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with requirements analysis and/or development
• Experience in preparing / participating in Readiness and Acceptance Reviews
• Experience planning and executing software deployments of large scale systems
• Experience performing system engineering / system integration on NGA systems or Mission Partner systems within the past 2 years
• Knowledge of existing NSG segments
