Overview

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) New Campus East (NCE) Active IT Program was established to provide the infrastructure services required to build out and maintain the NCE facilities. Mid-Level Systems Administrator expertise is needed to support onsite activities.

 

Position Duties and Responsibilities

The Mid-Level Systems Administrator responsibilities will include:

  • Understand NCE-ActiveIT requirements
  • Gain familiarity with NGA’s current data center infrastructure.
  • Design and execute testing methodologies for Application Hosting Architecture, Enterprise Management, and Storage Services.
  • Develop & Test Application Hosting Architecture and Implementation Plans for the Enterprise Networks, conforming as closely to the NCE Enterprise model as possible.
  • Present Test Briefs and Reports to Engineering Review Board.
  • Perform integration proof of concept testing as required
  • Work with NCE ActiveIT IPTs to ensure “other” services are made available on time to meet SRD requirements.
  • Conduct technical surveys to capture technical & functional requirements, create reports and brief findings, document existing “as-built” designs
  • Communicate architecture and integration plan to internal (other IPTs) and external (NGA IPTs) customers in a clear manner.
  • Provide weekly status reports to Test & Implementation Lab Manager
